Country Friends Dance Club
By Michael Taylor
I said where can we dance?
With a long heart felt sigh,
She said, I heard of this place called Country Friends Dance Club,
I said, lets give it a try.
So we packed up our boots,
And we left Center Point,
went across Cedar Rapids,
To a cute little joint.
We were kind of nervous,
But we went through the door,
There were lots of people,
Some, we had seen before.
We shook all their hands,
They all had a smile,
They said, put on them boots,
Dance for awhile.
We met a lot of people,
And we liked everyone,
We danced a couple hours,
And had alot of fun.
They had lots of snacks,
There was plenty to eat,
By the time we were done,
I had two sore feet.
We never seen a nicer bunch of people,
Always, in a joyous mood,
And do like to eat?
You should see all the food.
At the Country Friends Dance Club,
All the friends you will meet
All the food and the dancing,
Is a special
treat.
